SAFETY

  • Clients that are at risk are safer with trained, experienced professionals.

  • Risks include: not going to school, intimidating parents, belligerence, refusal to stop using drugs (especially in the home), breaking curfew, running away, repeated refusal to take drug tests, repeated failed drug tests, medication refusal, disobeying household rules, displaying a lack of respect

Child-Parent Strained Relationship

  • The decision to get a loved one help is an emotionally charged situation. It can make this heightened emotional situation worse. We are not the facility they are going to, we are not their mom or dad. We are a neutral intermediary used to improve progress once the client gets to treatment and can immediately begin to engage in the treatment and recovery process.

Honesty

  • If the only way you think you can get your loved one to treatment is by lying or tricking them into thinking their going somewhere else, hiring professional transport is a less deceptive option.
